HCSC 480: Sp Tp: Generative AI

Summary: This course is an introduction to the key concepts and algorithms of artificial intelligence (AI). The main focus of the course is on students learning the fundamental implementations of supervised learning and unsupervised learning in AI. They will also learn about the current state of AI with its uses and limitations, and they will learn the ethics and regulations surrounding it. They will learn how to use the widely popular AI program, ChatGPT. Hands-on activities include writing a very basic AI program and an application using ChatGPT.

HCSC 480 SP TP: Creating Art through AI and Advanced Manufacturing

Summary: This course is the 400-level version of the course, "HCSC 480: Sp Tp: Creating Art through AI and Advanced Manufacturing." The course is in collaboration with the Advanced Manufacturing Pilot Facility (AMPF) at Georgia Tech, and it will provide an introduction to the practices of manufacturing machines and the materials used in these machines. This course will demonstrate how artificial intelligence (AI) is applied in the manufacturing process. In this course, students will learn about computer-aided design (CAD), how Python is used in manufacturing, how machines are operated, and how these practices are used in both the functionality and aesthetic design of products. Students will design their own products — with how to program, model, analyze, and create the products, and their parts will be manufactured using machines in the AMPF at Georgia Tech.

Summary: The Survey of Conversational AI course is designed to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, human communication, and social good. In an increasingly digitized world, the ability to create AI-driven systems that can engage in natural, meaningful conversations is becoming paramount. Furthermore, their ability to have society impact for good should be at the forefront of conversation in AI education. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts, technologies, and practical applications of Conversation AI for Good. Students will delve into the realms of natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning, gaining hands-on experience in building chatbots, virtual assistants, and dialogue systems. We will also discuss ethical considerations and challenges related to conversational AI, such as bias and privacy. By the end of this course, students will be well-equipped to design and prototype intelligent conversational agents, making them invaluable assets in various fields, including healthcare, social justice, and beyond.

Summary: This course is an introduction to the many factors required to be an effective Product Manager including marketplace needs, reactions and activities of competition, the strategy and change within a firm, operating and financial constraints, demand forecast uncertainty and more. Students will learn the principles of product management and gain enhanced understanding of what it is like and what it takes to be a successful Product Manager.
