Morehouse AI for Good Initiative

Learn Conversational AI at Morehouse College

The Atlanta Conversational AI for Good Initiative will support Atlanta-area college students in learning to build conversational AI experiences using Microsoft Power Virtual Agents to address societal issues. Students will have the option to learn through a January one-week week bootcamp OR a 3-hour semester course. A select group of program participants will present their projects at the Microsoft Atlantic Station Office. The theme for the projects for both groups will be “Using Conversational AI to Further Fundamental Rights.” The program will align with, along with previous Microsoft support, the Morehouse Center for Broadening Participation in Computing.

Option #1: One-Week Bootcamp

Program Learning Outcomes:

Students who successfully participate in the one-week virtual bootcamp will receive a digital certification from Morehouse College. Participating students are expected to be available during regular business hours. Send questions to for more info.

Option #2: 3 Credit Hour Course

Atlanta-area undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in any undergraduate degree program at an ARCHE institution are eligible to enroll in the course (assuming space is available). The deadline (firm) for ARCHE registration is November 15th, 2023. Learn more about the "HCSC 480: Sp Tp: Conversational AI" course here. Send questions to for more info.

FInal Presentations

A presentation will be held at the Microsoft Atlanta Office from a select group of top projects (individual projects) submitted during the Spring course or by certificate program participants.

Local IT employees, as well as local community members, will be recruited to attend the student presentations.

The presentations will allow time for students to engage with community members to utilize and expand their solutions.
