Christopher Thomas serves as a Research Scientist at the Morehouse College Center for Broadening Participation in Computing (CBPC), where he supports interdisciplinary research and curriculum innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computing, digital media, and emerging technologies. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from South Carolina State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Digital Production Arts (DPA) from Clemson University, where his graduate work focused on special effects, 3D computer animation, and digital content creation for video games and film.
Mr. Thomas has experience in 3D modeling, virtual reality simulation development, computer animation, AI-enhanced digital media production, and high-performance computing environments, including work with the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). At Morehouse College, he contributed to the development of Digital Media and AI-related educational initiatives designed to prepare students for emerging industry challenges and opportunities.
During Summer and Fall 2025, Mr. Thomas taught the Introduction to Microchip Design courses using resources from the Micron Educator Hub, integrating semiconductor and AI-related materials into undergraduate learning experiences. His work focuses on expanding access to emerging technologies through applied research, experiential learning, and workforce-aligned educational opportunities that engage historically underrepresented students in computing and advanced technology fields.
