With over 18 years in education, Dr. Renée Jordan currently serves as the Associate Director at the Morehouse College Center for Broadening Participation in Computing (CBPC). Furthermore, she is a scholar-practitioner and higher education leader specializing in digital innovation, STEM Education and equity-focused curricular transformation. She brings extensive experience facilitating national and regional convenings that translate research into actionable strategies for teaching, learning, and student success. Dr. Jordan has served as a panelist, workshop facilitator, and thought leader on AI literacy, open scholarship, doctoral mentorship, and broadening participation in computing, partnering with HBCUs, PWIs, research alliances, and national organizations to advance inclusive excellence. Her work bridges academic research, program design, and collaborative network building to strengthen institutional capacity and expand access to technology-enabled learning. With a strong background in grant-aligned initiatives, cross-institutional partnerships, and data-informed decision-making, she develops programming that is intellectually rigorous, operationally sound, and mission-driven. Dr. Jordan’s leadership centers on leveraging technology to advance equity, innovation, and the democratic purposes of higher education. Obtaining a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology with a focus on Instructional Design from Georgia State University, Dr. Jordan also earned a Master of Public Policy in Social Policy-Education Policy from GSU, Master of Education in Secondary Education-Curriculum Specialist from Bowie State University, and Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hood College. In April 2023, Dr. Jordan received the Outstanding Dissertation in Learning Technologies Award from the Department of Learning Sciences, College of Education & Human Development at GSU.
