This workshop is designed for computational-focused STEM faculty at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Participants will learn how to access and apply supercomputing systems to enhance research and instruction, examine real-world uses of high-performance computing in undergraduate education, and integrate supercomputing into curricula through structured modules and assignments. The session will also guide on securing NSF funding for advanced computing infrastructure and introduce tools to support students' onboarding and project-based learning in supercomputing environments. The workshop will be hosted at The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), located on the J.J. Pickle Research Campus of the University of Texas at Austin. The main office address is 10100 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78758, specifically within the Advanced Computing Building (ACB) and Research Office Complex (ROC).
The closest airport to the workshop venue is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), located approximately 16 miles away. AUS offers domestic and international service and is about a 15–20 minute drive to the event location. Ground transportation options from AUS include taxis, rideshare services (Uber/Lyft), rental cars, and the CapMetro Bus Route 20.
